Büromaschinen has been producing tunes since the mid 90s, and this album marks a foray into the Roman electronic music scene that we're sure is bound to leave a lasting sign. We're not afraid to say that with this collection he's managed to reach new heights in theelectro genre, turning the classic bum-tschak scheme into a polymorphic and emotionally driven layout that reflects his talent in many other arts: in fact, as if his music wasn't enough already, he's just as well a master of the Ligne-claire drawing technique, and an amazingly gifted video artist too.
Büromaschinen we present you a selection of tracks that were taken live from a hardware-only setup, driven by the mighty Elektron Trinity with the additional help of monolithic analogue synth baselines and arpeggios from his trusty Roland MC202. Everything is then recorded onto half inch Revox tapes, for that analogue feel we all just love.
It's addictive, and we know you'll love it.

Looks like my first record is finally out! The guys at ROBODUST contacted me a while ago asking for three tracks they liked a lot and my EP was born! The tracklist is: "202", "Iryoku - concerto for SID machines" and "Bydo Empire". They are all from very different moments, and done with very different techniques. Every track is done solely with Elektron Monomachine, Elektron Machinedrum, DSI Mopho, MC 202 and a Microkorg. No computer was involved and they are all recorded live. "202" has a super cheap video clip I made back then: it's interesting just because the music you hear in the video is slightly different from the record one as I had to re perfom it live to have the right sync of led displays and music. Cover, guess what, is mine too.
This track is dated 1999. Entirely tracked with Jeskola Buzz (buzzmachines.com).
Sound quality is ugly. I did the mix with earbuds back in time so it sounds like crap. That contributes to a weird feel this track gives me.
I tried to capture that weird mix between classic showtunes and electronica that 80's television used to achieve for internal productions. Most important reference was Mike Buongiorno's "BIS" opening theme, and it was nothing but Yellow Magic Orchestra's Rydeen.

The documentary was about "Jet Set Willy" creator and programmer Matthew Smith. This documentary gives me goosbumps, mostly because how accurate the shooting tools choice was, so specific and respectful of the real thing back in the days of 8bit british computing.
Last but not least. DOTCHIDABE is the name of my favourite handheld LCD game ever. Made by Takatoku toys, Dotchidabe featured the opportunity to choose paths and developed in three REALLY different stages, with a great use of space management for all the "sprites".
That was a very strong part of my future envisioning as a child, along with all the sinclair stuff and Japanese electronic music for TV and Videogames.
